Children's Fair and more

So, now I am trying weekly updates again and seeing how that works. This time I will do better at writing every single week than I did last time.

This week has been a whirlwind for us. The most fun thing that we did was a Children's Fair that was yesterday. There were so many free crafts and things for kids to do. It was really windy but the girls still had such a great time. They made bracelets and necklaces and visited some learning stations where they got to see different kinds of rocks and where they got to feel different kinds of sand and snow and things. It was great! Annee even did a really good job of making the bracelets and necklaces. I would put the bead on and then she would pull the string. She was so proud of herself. At one station we were at they had a whole bunch of plastic beads on trays for the girls to use. A big gust of wind suddenly came and blew one of the trays over spilling beads everywhere. Jim and I started to help pick up the beads and Annee wanted to help, too. She started picking up the beads and wouldn't stop until she was sure that she had gotten all of them. She would clap for herself, too, every now and then. She was so proud! We were so proud of her, too!

Annee now has the cutest, most devious laugh I have ever heard. It is so cute and I want to record it and keep it forever!

This week we have been working on remodeling our house a lot. I've been working on painting the trim in the girls' room. Jim has painted and put the trim up in our family room. It looks really good. I am so excited! We have been working really hard because we have our housewarming party on Saturday. I am really nervous but it should be a lot of fun.

This week I have also gotten a lot of orders with my business. We have been really blessed lately. These orders have come at a critical time and I know that the Lord is watching out for us.

Violatte has been doing so good with her potty training. The most exciting thing was that one night she got up all by herself and went to the bathroom in the middle of the night! It was a very exciting milestone for us. She hasn't had accidents for a while and she is making it all the way through the night. I am so proud of her! Violatte has also been so much better at obeying lately. She loves to help (sometimes too much.) She watches out for Annee and takes such good care of her. If Violatte gets a snack, she insists and taking one to Annee. They sure do love each other. Also, in the mornings, if they wake up before I do, Violatte keeps Annee happy until I get up. She reads to her and sings to her. They both are so cute!

Jim got his rocket painted this week. Now, we are just waiting for it to stop being so windy . . . we'll let you know how it goes when we launch it . . . in three months. He can't wait.

I gave my talk today in Stake Conference. It was kind of scary but I was so excited to share what I had prepared. I also had a surprise. Mary Albro, my friend who was baptized, had been asked to share her experience and her testimony. It was so wonderful to hear her talk. She is an amazing person. If you want to read my talk, I posted it on my blog at www.simply-celese.blogspot.com.

Jim had his first mutual this week. It went good and he is really impressed with the boys that are in that quorum. I think he is going to be such a great adviser! This is a great calling for him.

update

It is official. I need a lot more discipline to write every day. It has been more than two weeks! Yikes! So, for those of you who have been wondering, I have taken the pictures of everything I promised but our camera is on the blitz and we can't get some of the pictures off of it. It's crazy. I'll keep working on that.

Jim got a calling this week. He was sustained as the Priests' Quorum Adviser. He is soooo excited for his calling. He is mostly excited for the campouts and the hikes. (The part I'm least excited about.) He says the Young Men are amazing and very strong young men. I think this will be so great for him!

Today it got up to 91 degrees. The cool thing (bad pun :0) ) is that it really didn't seem that bad for us. We are all adapting to the heat really well. We haven't even de-winterized our swamp cooler yet. (It is time, though!) Today the girls and I went outside and played in the sprinklers. We had such a great time.

So, for the not so good news. I spilled a huge amount of paint in the carpet in the girls' room. It was an accident and it was not good! Jim and I cleaned forever and it came out pretty well. I have to say, though, that I am absolutely impressed with how patient Jim was. He didn't even get frustrated at me! What a guy!

I've been working a lot on my talk for Stake Conference. I wish that I had more than five minutes, but it will be good. I have really enjoyed studying and preparing for this.

Annalee is learning new animal sounds every day. Her new ones are lamb, cow, and pig. Her favorite is still a lion though. She does the cutest laugh when she is especially happy. She laughs with a little growl in it and it is so funny! I need to record it and put it on my blog. I want to keep it forever!

Violatte asks every single morning abou the events for the day. She looks forward to the workout groups at the church where she can play with other kids and also to her dance classes. I wish we could have more things for her to do. I think preschool is going to be such a good thing for her in the fall.

Well, that's what's going on here. I hope you are all well.
